Run Wild Missoula promotes and supports running and walking for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
Some ways we fulfill our mission:
Tony Banovich was a passionate coach and advocate for all abilities of running, nevertheless, he strongly believed that all high school levels created impact for students. He saw high school running as the launching pad to lifelong runners. It is in his honor and with his spirit in mind that Run Wild Missoula through the Tony Banovich Memorial Fund is offering high school XC scholarships for gear and races.
→ Since 2022 we have awarded more than $21,000 in local high school scholarships tnrough this fund.
The Montana Trail Crew is a dynamic committee within Run Wild Missoula, comprised of RWM board members, staff, and a few dedicated at-large members. Focused on fostering a strong trail community, this group organizes and leads a variety of initiatives, including trail maintenance days, RWM trail sessions, the Mountain Running Film Festival, public lands advocacy efforts, multiple trail races, educational programs like Becoming a Wild Runner, group trail runs, and more.
