Really? There are no other charges?

We don’t charge for anything else on our platform. We only charge a processing fee as explained above.

Can attendees pay the processing fees?

YES! The majority of events have attendees pay the fees. You can also absorb the fees or split 50–50%.

Can I INCREASE the processing fees that attendees pay?

Yes, it’s simple to increase processing fees by $ or % to earn more revenue.

What about donations?

Nonprofits and events looking to raise more for a good cause can keep donation costs down with a lower donation processing fee of 4%.

What are my options when setting up a Payment Account?

Set Up Now

We ask you for the minimum amount of information required to satisfy credit card processing rules for setting up your payment account.
You will need to provide the required information to confirm that your organizataion is in good standing.
Choose to receive direct deposit (preferred) either weekly or monthly, or choose check payments ($1,000 minimum, or after your event has happened; $10 charge per check).

Set Up Later

If you aren’t the person responsible for your nonprofit’s finances, you can send an email invitation to your organization’s CFO, Treasurer, or Finance team so that they can complete the setup of the payment account.

Receive Payments by Direct Deposit

With the Advanced Payment Direct Deposit Option, choose to receive payments as often as weekly. We transfer all settled funds (other than those you designate to be held in escrow for refunds) as soon as they are available from our credit card processing company. Following is an example of the flow of funds for weekly payments for Direct Deposit:

Collection Period — Event Registration payments collected and settled (Note: Weeks with banking holidays may delay the payment.) on your behalf for weekly payment.
ACH Initiation Day — An ACH is initiated on Tuesday of each week for weekly payment to you. You should expect to receive funds in one or two days depending on your bank’s processing rules.
Transactions up to 6:00 PM ET on the last day of the collection period for Visa/Mastercard/Discover/Amex. (Note: Weeks with banking holidays may delay the payment.)

Receive Payments by Check

With Check Payments, choose to receive payments weekly or monthly. Payments will be released any week your event is owed at least $1,000 or once your event has passed, regardless of the amount owed. Each check will incur a $10 fee for processing (payment by ACH is free) Following is an example of the flow of funds for weekly check payments:

Collection Period — Ticket purchase, donation, and registration payments collected and settled (Note: Weeks with banking holidays may delay the payment.) on your behalf for weekly payment.
Check Initiation Day — A check is mailed on Wednesday of each week for weekly payment to you.
Transactions up to 6:00 PM ET on the last day of the collection period for Visa/Mastercard/Discover/Amex. (Note: Weeks with banking holidays may delay the payment.)

Payment Facilitator

TicketSignup has taken steps as a company to meet stringent security, banking, VISA and MasterCard processing rules to become an authorized intermediary (Payment Facilitator) between credit card holders (participants) and event owners. This means that with our Advanced Payment Accounts we never handle your event proceeds. After the credit card transactions are settled for your event, the proceeds are held in escrow for your benefit with our back end credit card processing company. Funds transfers to you happen accurately and on time by either ACH or check based on the frequency of payment you have requested.

Our infrastructure is secure, redundant, and decentralized

TicketSignup utilizes the latest technology and cloud architecture to meet our customers’ needs. Our cloud architecture benefits you with speed and scalability at a low cost, providing the ability to handle large events with 50,000+ participants attempting to register simultaneously. Information sharing is secure; we use multiple levels of firewalls and all pages are secured with TLS/SSL and HTTPS. People can access us from any device including computers, iPads, and both Apple and Android smartphones. You can count on our secure infrastructure to be highly available. This secure infrastructure allows you to be comfortable that your data is being handled properly and payments to you are accurate and on time.

We’re advocates of data privacy

Data privacy is important to you and to your participants. Whenever we collect or transmit sensitive data, that data is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. We don’t sell or share participant data with anyone other than the owner or Event Director of the event for which a participant has signed up. TicketSignup will not market or sell anything directly to participants who use our site. We only collect credit card information when a participant requests us to and if requested it is stored securely with a third party PCI Level 1 compliant vendor who specializes in credit card storage.
