The Palm Springs TURKEY TROT 5K takes place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26th, 2026. The event will start at 8:00 am at the corner of Tahquitz & Palm Canyon, Palm Springs, CA 92262
Race Day Location: 100 N. Palm Canyon
(in front of Starbuck Reserve Coffee)
Event Description
Make room for that extra piece of pie by completing the Palm Springs Wild Turkey Trot in iconic Palm Springs, California on Thanksgiving morning. This is a fast and flat certified course where world records are meant to be broken! Start and finish downtown, in perfect racing weather, on beautiful Palm Canyon.
WE PROMISE YOU MORE BLING THAN ANY OF THE OTHER DESERT TURKEY DAY RACES!
All participants receive a long sleeved tech t-shirt, finisher medal, free finisher photo download, turkey knee-hi socks and a wild turkey beanie! A portion of your entry supports the Mizell Center's Meals on Wheels Program, providing food for homebound seniors as well as other important local causes. This race is brought to you by the Palm Springs Marathon Runners with a reputation of awesome themed races supporting local charities! Complete Southlands Events Palm Springs TRAMROAD CHALLENGE and our Palm Springs WILD TURKEY TROT 5K and receive a BONUS medal post race!
Packet Pickup
**Early Packet pick-up for EVERYONE on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, November 21, 22, 23 from Noon - 4pm AND Tuesday, Wednesday, November 24, 25 from 11am - 4pm.
Location: Ruth Hardy Park parking lot at 700 Tamarisk Road, Palm Springs 92262
Look for the Palm Springs Marathon Runners pop-up tent for pick-up.
Packet pick-up will also be available race morning, on site, at 100 S. Palm Canyon, Palm Springs, CA 92262 beginning at 6:30AM. Race begins promptly at 8AM.
Late registration will also be available at packet pick-up and race morning, if room allows. This race has SOLD OUT for the past four years and so we urge you to register early!

Course Info
This 5K certified course is runner, walker, stroller and doggie friendly and starts and finishes in downtown Palm Springs on iconic Palm Canyon. Run through beautiful neighborhoods on this fast and flat course. Show your holiday spirit and run as a turkey, pilgrim or in another festive outfit.
Keep an eye out for Santa Claus who will be there to welcome in the holiday season!
Race Day Parking
Off-site parking available in city parking structure located at 235 S. Indian Canyon Drive (intersection of Indian Canyon and Baristo) and on surrounding streets and businesses.
