Run Internacional - The U.S. - México 10K

Dear Runners,

We wanted to let you know that due to the ongoing government shutdown, we are postponing the 7th Run Internacional U.S.- Mexico 10K originally scheduled for November 15, 2025. We know many of you have been training and looking forward to this event, and we truly appreciate your understanding and patience.

We were aware of the government shutdown and wanted to wait as long as possible before making this decision. However, at this point, we must think about all the runners traveling from out of town and everyone involved in planning and organizing this special binational event.

This decision deeply saddens us. Unfortunately, this situation is not in our hands.  Several key government agencies that make this unique binational race possible are currently without adequate staff to help us provide support.

This is not the first time the race has faced a postponement.   It is a challenge to coordinate with local, state and federal agencies in both El Paso and Ciudad Juárez.  Our team remains fully committed to hosting the race in the near future once circumstances allow. We will share the new date and details as soon as they are confirmed.

We want to inform everyone with enough time so participants and partners can make the necessary adjustments and plans. Our goal is to ensure transparency and safety for everyone involved — the race will be postponed, not canceled. 

As a registered participant, you have two options:

I’d like to stay in the race – Keep your spot for the rescheduled date. You’ll receive an update as soon as the new date is confirmed once the shutdown is resolved.
I’d like to request a refund – Request a refund and release your race slot. Reply to this email by November 23. Please allow two weeks to process your refund, after November 23.

Queremos informarles que, debido al cierre del gobierno en curso, hemos decidido posponer la 7ª edición del Run Internacional U.S.–México 10K, originalmente programada para el 15 de noviembre de 2025. Sabemos que muchos de ustedes han estado entrenando y esperando con entusiasmo este evento, y realmente apreciamos su comprensión y paciencia.

Estábamos al tanto del cierre del gobierno y quisimos esperar el mayor tiempo posible antes de tomar esta decisión. Sin embargo, en este punto debemos pensar en todos los corredores que viajan desde fuera de la ciudad y en todas las personas involucradas en la planeación y organización de este evento binacional tan especial.

Esta decisión nos entristece profundamente. Lamentablemente, la situación está fuera de nuestras manos. Varias agencias gubernamentales clave que hacen posible esta carrera única entre dos países no cuentan actualmente con el personal suficiente para brindarnos el apoyo necesario.

No es la primera vez que la carrera enfrenta un aplazamiento. Coordinar con agencias locales, estatales y federales tanto en El Paso como en Ciudad Juárez representa un gran reto. Aun así, nuestro equipo sigue totalmente comprometido en realizar la carrera en un futuro cercano, tan pronto como las circunstancias lo permitan. Compartiremos la nueva fecha y los detalles tan pronto como se confirmen.

Queremos informar a todos con suficiente antelación para que los participantes puedan hacer los ajustes y planes necesarios. Nuestro objetivo es garantizar la transparencia y seguridad de todos los involucrados: la carrera se pospone, pero no se cancela.

Como participante registrado, tienes dos opciones:

Quiero mantener mi lugar en la carrera – Conserva tu inscripción para la nueva fecha. Recibirás una actualización tan pronto como se confirme la nueva fecha, una vez que se resuelva el cierre del gobierno.
Quiero solicitar un reembolso – Pide un reembolso y libera tu lugar en la carrera. Responde a este correo electrónico antes del 23 de noviembre. Por favor, permite hasta dos semanas despues del 23 de noviembre para procesar tu reembolso.
