In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release any and all right and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Event Director, RunSignup.com, Town of Greece, New York State, any owners of any in-person location where I participate, or online system I use for furtherance of participation, and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers, and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries, illnesses, and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend, and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.

I know that working out, racing, and generally being involved in athletics are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and walk, run, exercise, or otherwise participate unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, potential exposure to infectious disease (ex. COVID-19), and course or building conditions, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in working out. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I agree to abide by all decisions of any event official relative to my ability to safely complete the event(s). I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this event that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that a licensed medical doctor has verified my physical condition.

In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency arising during any portion of any in-person event, I hereby authorize and give my consent to the Event Director or event representatives to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment, and hospitalization. I acknowledge if I am participating in a virtual event, it is my responsibility to ensure my own safety and access to medical or other emergency services.

I agree to use a headlamp or flashlight at all times in the dark and to pay attention to my surroundings so as to not veer off the course. If I am registered for the in-person course, if the race is cancelled for any reason that I'll be transferred to the virtual version. I recognize it is possible for the location to change due to circumstances beyond the race director's control and I may request to transfer to the virtual version should such a thing occur.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver.

Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice, and images of myself in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications, or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes, including photos I post to RunSignUp within this event or to the presenter's email, website, Facebook page, or other area they control.

I understand there are no refunds or deferrals, but that event insurance is available if I wish to protect my registration from changes in my plans. I understand that no registration gifts or prizes will be held and must be claimed before the race organizers tear-down the event and it is my responsibility to leave with medallions, shirts, or anything else for which I am eligible.
