At Fort Collins Montessori School (FCMS), we are committed to a different kind of learning. As a public charter school, we bridge the gap between state funding and the world-class Montessori experience our children deserve. The annual Big Give is our community’s most impactful way to shape the environment where our students grow, explore, and thrive.

Thanks to the incredible support of our families and friends, we have raised over $126,000 since the Big Give began. In previous years, over 90% of our families contributed, showing the power of our collective commitment. This year, we aim for 100% participation as we invest directly in the heart of our school: the classroom experience.

What Your Previous Big Gives Have Accomplished

Because of your generosity, we have:

Completed our Campus: Finalized the build-out of our beautiful, sun-lit building and installed our vibrant playground.

Empowered our Faculty: Provided essential AMI certifications and specialized training for our growing team of Montessori Guides.

Expanded our Resources: Successfully launched the multi-purpose space that now serves as a hub for our entire school community.

What the 2026 Big Give Will Do for Your Students

This year, we are focusing on "supercharging" the classroom experience. A strong Montessori education is fueled by a high-quality "Prepared Environment"—both inside and outside the classroom walls. Your support for the 2026 Big Give will:

Supercharge Classroom Budgets: We are moving beyond the basics to provide our Guides with robust budgets for precision Montessori materials, advanced STEM tools, and diverse classroom libraries.

Fund "Going Out" Experiences: Montessori education isn't confined to a desk. Your gifts will fund the transportation and logistics for student-led field trips and community-immersion activities that build real-world independence and confidence.

Enhance Learning Environments: From botanical specimens to specialized geography maps, these funds put the best possible tools directly into the hands of your child and their Guide.

The Value of FCMS

While private Montessori programs can cost upwards of $20,000 a year, FCMS remains dedicated to offering a tuition-free K-6 Montessori education. Charitable giving is what allows us to maintain this excellence. Your investment ensures that our students discover their intrinsic motivation, become responsible members of their communities, and grow into committed lifelong learners.

The 2026 Goal: $50,000
Our goal is to raise $50,000 with 100% family participation.

Whether you make a one-time gift or set up a monthly recurring donation, every contribution counts toward our goal of full classroom solidarity. A recurring gift of just $15 or $25 a month provides a steady, sustainable stream of support for our classrooms all year long.

May 2nd, 3-5 PM: Join us for our Spring Event, where we will celebrate our progress and the impact of your giving on our school - thank you!
