• Where: We’ll be floating down the beautiful Deschutes River – don’t worry, it’s scenic, peaceful, and perfect for plotting your water battle strategy.

• What to Bring: Your paddle, your vessel (see below), and an unrelenting spirit to defeat your family in an epic water fight. Life jackets are a must – but don’t let that stop you from making an impressive cannonball entrance when you hit the water.

What’s The Game Plan?

• Step 1: Gather your crew at Sunriver Marina, the launch pad of all legends.

• Step 2: Hop into your kayak, canoe, or inflatable unicorn (we won’t judge), and start your float down the river. Enjoy the picturesque views of Benham Butte as you float along—unless, of course, you're too busy prepping for your water assault.

• Step 3: Wait for the inevitable: The Fallesen-Lorensen-Watt-Purdy Families face off in a glorious water battle of titanic proportions. Water balloons, squirt guns, and unexpected splashes—prepare for the family war of the century.

• Step 4: Paddle your way to glory (or just paddle for your life if you’re on the losing side) to the finish line at Benham Butte.

Pro Tips:

• Don’t take this lightly: the Deschutes River is sneaky. One moment you’re relaxing, and the next, you’re caught in a splash fight with your cousin who’s suddenly the best water warrior on the planet.

• Bring water shoes, a dry bag, snacks & drinks, extra towels, sunscreen, and a change of clothes—because there’s a very high probability you’ll be drenched.

• If you’re unsure whether to bring a water gun... you should. Everyone knows the person with the biggest squirt gun rules the waterway.

The Fine Print:

• This event is 100% family-friendly. The only thing getting hurt here is your pride when your Aunt Carol soaks you in the face.

• You must book your vessel in advance to avoid waiting in line while the water battle rages on without you.

•  Bonus: Dogs are welcome on boats and shuttles. So even the family furballs can join in the chaos.

•  All rentals include life jackets (because safety first, mayhem second), paddles, and a shuttle ride back—because paddling upstream is for salmon and superheroes.
