Join us for this family camping trip that incorporates education around efficient camping methods, primitive camping skills, and tips for what to do in a potential lost hiker situation. The focus of day one will be best practices of a traditional campsite set up. Day two will involve venturing into the "wilderness," where families will learn to construct an emergency shelter and how to best prepare for unplanned events, such as staying out in nature for a night, gathering and treating water for safe ingestion, fire starting, identifying edible plants, and navigating safe routes in the outdoors. In case of a fire ban, a gas stove will be on site for water treatment.
