March Madness Streetball

The staff and board of Poteau Mainstreet Matters, Inc. would like to thank you for everything that you do to support our organization and the Mainstreet businesses in Historic Downtown Poteau. 

Main Streets are the heartbeat of our cities, and we work diligently to ensure that our local heartbeat is strong! This past year has been busy, and it was wonderful to see so many of you at our events, including live music events in the pocket park on Dewey, the Mainstreet Farmers Market, the annual Shop Small events, our Christmas Light-o-Rama show and our annual Wheels-N-Deals car show. 

It is now the time of year when we ask our supporters to renew a monthly, quarterly or annual commitment to the organization. This monetary support continues economic vitality development, and other organizational, design, and promotion efforts for community engagement events! As you may know, for the last five years we have been working diligently to clean up the organization, and get back into the national Mainstreet program as an Affiliate. We have completed two years as an Associate, now starting as a fully approved Mainstreet Associate program. We plan to advance to a fully accredited program in July of this year. 

The organization took two full years off from asking for annual financial supporters in order to give back to the community, and allow you the opportunity to support others who needed you. That being said, we are now asking for annual supporters for several reasons, not limited to: several community enrichment events have already been planned for each month this year, and we plan to open an indoor event center to provide you with year-round opportunities to “get downtown,” regardless of rainy weather or seasonal extreme temperatures. 

If you have questions on how to get involved, or are wondering what the calendar of events are (to date), we have included some attachments in this mailing that will help answer those questions. If you would like to mail us a check with your annual sponsorship, you can mail or drop it off at 307 Dewey Ave, Poteau OK 74953. We also have a Paypal Account, CashApp, Square and VENMO that we can send an online invoice to you; simply request it by providing us with your email address.
