NON-COMMvention - May 3-6

The annual gathering of public (non-commercial) radio music programmers and managers, music industry representatives, and music media from across North America returns to uncover the very best in new music from emerging and established artists.

 

NON-COMMvention is produced by WXPN for Triple A stations and will take place Tuesday, May 3 to Friday, May 6 at World Cafe Live / WXPN in Philadelphia. Evening and noontime musical showcases will feature 30+ of today’s leading artists and bands from around the world. Conference sessions explore the best practices, opportunities, and challenges for stations with a focus on artist and community impact and sustainability

 

The noncomMUSIC Alliance Returns to host the Public Radio Music Summit May 2 - 3!


The Public Radio Music Summit, hosted by the noncomMUSIC Alliance, will feature a full day of sessions on May 3, exploring “The Future of Public Radio Music," along with an evening networking reception and musical performances on May 2. Join us for this two-day event bringing together public radio music station leadership and music industry stakeholders from around the country. 

 

The noncomMUSIC Alliance serves public radio music stations across genres including Jazz, Classical and Triple A. Learn more here

All music performances at NON-COMMvention will be live-streamed and available at NPR Live Sessions and XPN.org. Additionally, select portions of NON-COMM and the Public Radio Music Summit will be video-streamed for radio and industry staff only. Inclusiveness in Non-COMM Triple A Programming  New voices, new perspectives, and greater inclusiveness are evolving at non-comm music stations. This panel will showcase what Triple A and Urlban Alt stations are doing to engage with audiences with evolving formats.

 

Thursday, May 5 — 10:30 am - 11:30 am EST
After COVID: Reviving Music and Artists   This panel will explore lessons we've learned from the pandemic, how stations are engaging and supporting their local music communities.
