Event Description
Experience the process of turning raw wool into vibrant, hand-spun fiber using traditional techniques and natural color. In this beginner workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of spinning wool and dyeing fiber with all-natural, plant-based dyes from food scraps and nature. We’ll look at how wool is prepared for spinning and experiment with natural materials to create rich, earthy hues.
Designed for ages 7 and up, this hands-on program welcomes creative adults and families interested in learning a new skill together. This workshop is built specifically for first-timers and curious newcomers. All children (7-15) must attend with a paying adult. All supplies are provided, and each participant will leave with a small sample of their own naturally dyed, hand-spun wool.
