Historic Stanton Airfield is on the National Registry of Historical Places as it was an airfield started by Carleton College in 1942 to train WWII pilots and support the war effort. The airfield hasn't changed much over the years as it retains the original grass runways and hangar/office buildings. Donations will be utilized for the much needed repairs of the building. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the youth activities of the local Civil Air Patrol squadron.
The Friends of the Historic Carleton Airport, now referred to as Stanton Airfield (KSYN) is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.[
