This year, on August 1st and 2nd , I will celebrate my 20th PMC!! Over the past 19 years, I have ridden over 3600 miles, and raised over $180,000, all going to the cause than saved my life 21 years ago.
For a little background on my story, in December of 2004, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It was a challenging time emotionally, physically, and financially. I was very fortunate to have made it through that difficult time, due to the unbelievable care I received at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Now, over 21 years later, I feel great and cherish every day I get to spend with my wife Michele, and my daughters Madison and Meaghan.
This year, I am dedicating my ride to 2 very good friends: Tony DePietro and Bob Joyce.
Tony is going round 2 with Hodgkins Lymphoma, and taking on the challenge like a champ. Bob was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year, and is currently giving the beast a beatdown. Tough times call for tough character, and I know these are two of the toughest characters I know. Give 'em hell boys!!!
I also carry the names of family, friends, family of friends, and friends of family on my jersey as I ride. if there is anyone you would like for me to add please let me know. See you the first weekend in August!!
