Want to dress up and be part of the fun but need help? Join a Bra decorating party between August 1^st and 18^th  leading up to the 13^th Annual BRA Run. These parties will be hosted by local running clubs and the event is open to the public

Bra Decorating Events:

• Pacific City Run Club – Time TBD on August 9^th at IYKYK Coffee, Huntington Beach
• Black Girls Run – Location TBD on Sunday Aug 10^th
• Runner’s Hiii Run Club – Location TBD on Thursday Aug 14^th
• Running Locas – Location TBD on Saturday Aug 16th
• LARC – Location TBD on Saturday Aug 16^th  

Is you group interested in hosting a bra decorating party?

Your group would… 

1.    Secure the date and location. Mercury Events needs to receive an email or letter from the host location to make sure you have done all the necessary follow-up/gotten necessary permission.

2.    You will create a graphic/post for it and promote it to your group. 

3.    Take photos and video that you would share with Mercury Events within 24 hours of the event

4.    Have the host location agree to promote the event to their audiences and to provide gift cards that can be use for the BRA Run costume contest, to the fastest runners at the BRA Run or for other promotions.

BRA Run would …

1. Share your event on social, in emails and on the event website 
2. This will help your club get some more exposure and help you recruit some new members while also bringing some new business to the host. 
3. Provide a box of supplies for the group to use that day or give you a gift card for Michaels, Target or someplace similar where you could buy some supplies for the decorating day. 
4. BRA Run bibs can be assigned and given out at your event.

A lot of different types of locations would work, retail location like Lululemon, general shopping center courtyard like The Point, a restaurant, gym like Orange Theory Fitness or a Yoga Studio, a brewery,  a car dealership or even a parking lot – as long as it is a public location so people feel comfortable joining you that day even if they don’t know anyone from your club yet. Any place with room for the group and some tables that can be reserved. 

It would be great to combine it with a run for those interested but that is not required, and some people might prefer not to be sweaty when doing the bras and socializing.

Optional addition to the event, you can invite breast cancer patients and survivors to speak. We could get someone from the charity and/or Torrance Memorial to talk about early detection, treatment and other issues.
