On January 8, 2020, our kind and compassionate friend Matt Jones suffered a massive stroke due to a carotid artery dissection. This came to his family and friends as a shock because Matt is known for his athleticism and meticulous diet. Matt is a father of 4 children who care for their father greatly! He is an avid runner and even coaches running groups. Doctors attribute the stroke to overexertion from training at a high exertion cross training facility. Matt has experienced left side paralysis. He underwent an emergency craniotomy to relieve intracranial pressure. He has a long road ahead and he will need extensive rehabilitation. As you can imagine, with extensive hospital stays, ambulance rides, rehabilitation, and medical equipment his medical bills will be extremely large. He is fortunate to have medical insurance coverage, although we all know insurance doesn’t cover everything. We are asking for financial donations to assist with covering medical costs. Any amount is appreciated. Matt is a wonderful person and we are praying for a smooth recovery.
