Run with Passion 5K Run/Walk

This year, the focus of our race is raising money to start a Mothers Sewing Group at ONE (or TWO) of our Passion Center-connected churches. We have seen how valuable these groups have been at our other churches and want to expand them even further.

These groups allow single moms, widows, and other vulnerable women to learn tailoring, giving them a way to support themselves and their families. Together, the women in the group form a community, encourage one another, and even do devotions together, which helps them grow spiritually. They also learn business techniques and skills that will help them be able to start their own small business after the finish the training. Our goal of $2500 will allow us to start a Mothers Sewing Group at one of our churches. That money will enable us to purchase 7 sewing machines, fabric, materials, tools, and cover the fees for the instructor. This will bless 14 women, as we can have 2 on a machine. If we raise $5,000, we can start a second group at another church blessing 14 more women.
