Hi, my name is Gracie Helbig! I am currently a 10th grader at Anderson High School! I run cross country and track. I love being active and spending time in the great outdoors! I love running, hiking, roller skating, rock climbing, and surfing!! I love having fun and hanging out with my friends and family! I also love to organize, read, go to Starbucks, go shopping, and go to church! My dream is to run for a D1 college (Go Wolfpack and Go Gators)!! Another thing about me is that I’m a Chicknlegs Ambassador this year. If you don’t know what Chicknlegs are, they are really fun running shorts! This year, I have been loving taking Forensics and Child Development classes! I chose to be a returning FH5K ambassador because I love supporting the community, and it was such a great experience the past 3 years!!
Hi, my name is McKenna Johnson and I’m a senior at Turpin High school. I was a race ambassador last year and I really enjoyed it and am excited to be one again this year! I run track for Turpin and out of all the sports I do, I believe that the running environment is the best. I love how supportive everyone is to each other especially during hard workouts and I hope to bring that same mentality to encourage others to run the FHFE 5K. I love seeing everyone push their comfort zones and get out and run and have FUN. I hope to encourage others this year and have a larger turnout than last!
My name is Charles Ogdan, and I work for FHSD as the Director of Secondary Teaching & Learning. In my capacity as an employee, I see the amazing impact that the Foundation has on our students, staff, and community. As a life long educator, I am excited to grow the collaboration that the District has with the Foundation for years to come. Events such as the annual 5K are the cornerstones of this relationship and growth.
My name is Savannah Moore (Briley), and I am a 5th-grade teacher at Maddux Elementary. I have been a teacher in the Forest Hills School District for four years, and through this experience, I have truly seen how amazing and supportive this community is. The mission of the Forest Hills Foundation for Education is especially important to me because they work closely with teachers to fund tools, supplies, and experiences that enhance students’ learning. This role allows me to support students beyond the classroom and connect with other students that I do not currently have in class at Maddux! I am excited to give back to a foundation that has supported my own classroom in so many ways and to encourage others to take part in this impactful and meaningful event.
My name is Sydney Breese and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Ayer. I am proud to serve as an ambassador for the Forest Hills Foundation for Education 5K on May 9, 2026. This role allows me to support students and bring the community together, which is something I care deeply about. I’m excited to help support a Foundation that supports my school and my students each and everyday, and to encourage others to join in this meaningful event.
Hi my name is Alexa Inman and I am a junior at Turpin High school! I have been part of Forest Hills my whole life, and this is my second year as a FH5K ambassador. I'm excited to support a Foundation that brings people together for a great cause. I love being part of events that connect families, friends, and neighbors while making a positive impact. The mission of the Forest Hills Foundation for Education is important to me because it reminds me that even small actions can make a big difference, and I'm proud to be a part of it.
My name is McKenna Eatmon and I am a junior at Turpin High School. I have found an incredible sense of community at Forest Hills, where I play lacrosse and swim. My journey here has given me a true sense of belonging, and that’s what inspired me to become an ambassador for the FH5K. I support the FH5K because I see firsthand the impact it has on our district. The Forest Hills Foundation for Education provides critical support for both physical and mental wellness for students of all ages. As someone who has personally faced mental health challenges, I am grateful for the positive changes the FHFE has brought during my time in Forest Hills. Their work uplifts every student and helps strengthen our entire community. I love Forest Hills—the smiles, the greetings, and the strong bonds we share make it a truly special place. On May 9th, join me and our amazing community at the FH5K!
My name is Michelle Olix, and I am a 1st Grade Teacher at Ayer Elementary! I have been connected to Forest Hills for 15 years. The Forest Hills Foundation for Education is meaningful to me because the Foundation gives back to all 9 schools in Forest Hills through amazing grants. This year I am using a Building Fact Fluency kit that was purchased by the Foundation for 1st grade teachers. I am excited to serve as an ambassador for the FH5K on May 9, 2026 because I love seeing the community come together! It is fun to see all of the runners and walkers, especially my Ayer students and families!
My name is Leslie Harback, I am a proud alum of Anderson, Nagel, and Maddux! I also am a teacher in the district, I teach 5th grade ELA at Summit Elementary. I am also the Summit Running Club Coach! I chose to become a FH5K Ambassador because I love FHSD and promoting a healthy lifestyle. It is a privilege to get to train with Summit students and share my love for running with them. It is so important to encourage our kids to set goals for themselves and to be active. Running Club and the FH5K promote both! My favorite part of the 5K is watching my runners cross that finish line and seeing how proud they are of themselves! It is such a fabulous opportunity for our kids and the community!
Hi! My name is Madeleine and I'm a 5th grader at Mercer Elementary. I've been doing the FH5K for 5 years and have been training with the Mercer Running Club for the last 2 years. I really enjoy running this race each year with my family and friends! This year I am excited to be a FH5K Race Ambassador and to help support the Forest Hills Foundation and all the important work they do for our schools. Whether you walk or run, I hope you will consider coming out to participate with me this year!
The FH5K is one of the happiest events in our community. It is ONE place for ALL to be, by connecting, being healthy and having fun. My name is Jean Bode, I am the proud mom of 3 FHSD Alumni from Maddux, Nagel and AHS. I am the school counselor at Wilson Elementary School and am retiring this year with a grateful heart for a meaningful career. Along the way the FH5K has become one of my favorite things about FHSD, I love seeing ALL kids and adults engaging in one activity, walking, running, competing. Then everyone gets to visit so many of our community businesses and organizations that support our schools and families, (plus all the goodies!!). I am proud to be an ambassador for the FH5K again this year.
