Silence the Shame Field Day

Join us on May 3, 2025 for the Silence the Shame Field Day, a vibrant celebration leading up to May 5th, National Silence the Shame Day. This unique event is dedicated to promoting holistic well-being and serves as a platform for community engagement, awareness and support for mental health.

At STS field Day, we invite you to participate in an exciting array of activities to uplift mind and body. The event promises something for everyone, from competitive games like relays, tug of war, and water challenges to mindfulness practices and creative expression activities. We aim to create a welcoming environment where youth, adults, and families can connect, share their experiences, and gain valuable insights into the importance of mental well-being. 

Highlights of the Day:

Exciting Relay Games: Participate in thrilling competitions for a chance to be crowned the Field Day Champion! Teams include up to 15 players. Register a whole team or as an individual and event staff will put you on a team!

Wellness Booths: Access valuable health resources and educational materials to promote well-being.

Mindful Movement Sessions: Enjoy rejuvenating Yoga and high-energy Zumba sessions to boost your mood and fitness levels.

Lively Entertainment: Dance the day away with our DJ, providing a vibrant soundtrack to keep the energy high.

Art Therapy Station: Unleash your creativity at our art therapy station, where you can create and take home your unique masterpiece.

Kid's Zone: This is a fun-filled area for children that features face painting, games, and a variety of activities to keep them entertained.

Field Day Games: (Must be at least 18 to participant is relay games. No exceptions.)

• Giants, Wizards, and Elves – A fun, team-based version of rock-paper-scissors, complete with chasing and tagging.

• Bean Bag Sling Shot – Teams sling objects across the field and catch them using a large sheet—coordination is key!

• Bridge Building – Construct the strongest bridge using Kinex, tested by how much weight it can hold.

• Giant Jenga – A life-sized version of the classic game—remove and stack blocks carefully to avoid toppling the tower.

• Fireman Relay – Transport water in a spoon while racing wearing a fireman’s hat—it’s trickier than it sounds!

• Hula Hoop Rock/Paper/Scissors Race – A blend of strategy and speed as players race and compete in quick games of rock-paper-scissors.

• Spaghetti Marshmallow – Build the tallest structure possible using spaghetti, marshmallows, tape, and string, with the marshmallow on top.

• Speed Pictionary – Draw and guess as many images as possible in the shortest time.

• Tic Tac Toe Relay – Combine strategy, speed, and collaboration to win this fast-paced relay game.

• Musical Chairs – A crowd favorite! Race for chairs as the music stops—last one seated wins!
