Registration
RunSignUp allows you to access your registration through your Profile. From there you can resend your confirmation email if you have misplaced it, or if you have not received it
Note: If you did not receive your confirmation make sure to check the spam folder in your email client.
You will always be able to resend the registration confirmation for any registrations associated with your Profile (including any sub-accounts of yours) by following these steps:
Refunds are only allowed during the 15-minute period following registration.
If you are unable to participate, you can transfer your registration until 1 week prior to race day.
When you register for this event, you are making a non-refundable purchase decision. You may not give your entry to another individual outside of the authorized transfer process; doing so forfeits the race entry.
Giving or selling your entry to someone outside of the transfer process creates inaccurate race results and can prevent registered and deserving individuals from being properly recognized in their age group, and creates a risk in the case of emergency when EMS is not able to identify the person by their race number.
You can transfer your entry as a "Gift" to a different runner until the week before the race. You can initiate this process through your RSU profile. The new runner must complete the new transferred entry by one week prior to race day.
Any payment arrangements are between you and the new runner.
See I need to transfer my registration to another person. for detailed instructions.
You can update your shirt size or style through your RSU profile. This option is available until the shirt order is placed a few weeks prior to race day. See I need to update my giveaway response for detailed instructions.
Yes. You can update your estimated finish time through your RSU profile. This option is available until the bibs are assigned approximately two weeks prior to race day. See I need to update my question responses for detailed instructions.
Please update your RSU profile for future registrations, then use the Contact Form under the Questions menu to let the team know what information needs to be changed for this race.
We use prior year's registrations and current registrations when we place our orders to project how many participants may register for the event and to determine the participant cap. Once the cap is met, we close registrations to ensure that our volunteers can produce a safe, enjoyable and high quality event, and that we have finisher medals for everyone.
Race day registration will only be available if we have not met our participant cap.
The Mayfaire 5k is planned and executed by a team of volunteers. Online registration closes to give the volunteers time to complete all the adminstrative tasks that happen behind the scenes to have a safe, fun, and high quality event for everyone.
Once the participant cap for a race has been met, the club may choose to open a waitlist.
If the club determines that there is additional space in the event and there are sufficient finisher medals for all registrants, links to register are sent to that number of people from the list on a first-come, first-served basis and they are given a specific period of time to complete their registration.
Once that time limit is up, the system sends any remaining slots to the next person/people on the list until all slots are filled or the online registration window closes. Because the races are organized by volunteers, they need time to properly prepare for the event.
While there is not a strict time limit where you will be swept from the course, athletes need to be able to maintain a 20:00 min/mile pace so we can start the awards presentation at 8:30 PM. If you need extra time please contact us at races@lakelandrunnersclub.org before you register.
We do not offer virtual entries.
As a non-profit, we want to build a strong local running community and bringing people together in person is important to our success.
Respect and Inclusion
The Lakeland Runners Club (LRC) respects the fundamental rights, dignity, and worth of all participants. We are committed to creating programs and activities where everyone belongs and is encouraged to participate. We expect all participants to treat one another with respect — including honoring privacy, showing kindness, patience, and compassion, and avoiding assumptions.
We believe that everyone, regardless of race, gender, or background, should be able to participate in activities that improve their well-being safely and without fear or discrimination. The LRC will not condone or participate in discriminatory behavior. If you experience a problem with another runner, volunteer, club member, vendor, or anyone else at an LRC event, please inform the club president.
Nonbinary Runners
You may select nonbinary as your gender during registration. At this time, participation in this division is not large enough to support a separate awards category. We will contact you to ask whether you prefer to be scored in the male division, female division, or opt out of scoring.
Impaired Athletes
The Mayfaire 5k course is 100% paved but includes challenging hills and sharp 90° turns. We strive to provide accessibility for athletes with physical, intellectual, or vision impairments. Please contact the race planning committee so we can determine how best to accommodate you and your guide (if needed) during the event. Currently, there is no separate award division for impaired athletes.
Anyone who wishes to remain anonymous in the published results can select that option in their RunSignUp profile.
Please contact the LRC race planning team using the Contact Us form and include the following information.
• Company Name
• What percentage or $ amount of the entry that your company will pay for each member
• A unique code that team members must enter to join your team
• Your contact information (name and email)
Once we have this information, we will set up your corporate team and send you a link to manage your team.

We encourage registered participants to run with their friends & family! Please line up in the corral with the highest number of the group.
We love it when friends, fans and family members come to cheer on the runners! We highly encourage cheer zones out on the course. Please note that post race food and refreshments are for registered participants, volunteers, and sponsors. We ask that guests wait until all race participants have completed their race before taking any food or beverage items.
Walkers and jogging strollers are allowed in the Lakeland Runners Club events.
We ask that strollers begin in a position where they do not impede faster runners or walkers. Participants planning to push a child in a stroller are required to declare this at the time of registration and/or packet pickup and register the child as a stroller rider, accepting responsibility for injury up to the death of the child.
While leashed dogs are allowed at Bonnet Springs Park, no dogs or other pets are allowed during the race or in the start/finish line area of the race. Athletes with service animals should contact the race planning team for accommodations on race day.
To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, the Lakeland Runners Club encourages a headphone-free environment during all events. We believe your race experience and those around you will be greatly enhanced by leaving the headphones at home or in the car. Running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and to increase the safety of all by being able to understand instructions from our race crew.
Runners are distributed over 10 corrals based on a normal distribution of pace (fewer runners at the front and back, most runners in the middle).
All Lakeland Runners Club races are held on USATF certified courses. This means they have been measured following a specific process to ensure that the distance is what is advertised. The Mayfaire 5k course is USATF FL22015JK and you can see the map on our Certified Course map page.
