From loading the truck and setting up tents and tables to tearing it all down post-race, you're the muscle and the magic that brings the event to life. Expect teamwork, high-fives, and a bit of lifting action (bins, tents, tables – you’ve got this!). Think of it as a workout before the race starts — and a front-row seat to all the fun.

Love being in the heart of the action? Join the Course Commanders, the all-star team that sets the stage for every runner’s journey! You'll help lay out the race course, set up the finish line, prep water stations, and cheerfully guide runners to stay on track. This is a key role that kicks off the day — so punctuality is a must! If you’re late, you’ll be racing just to find your crew. Be there on time, and you’ll get the full behind-the-scenes experience of making the race magic happen! Finish line glory? You help build it. Mid-race hydration? You make it happen. Lost runners? Not on your watch.

This role is perfect for:
- Early risers
- Outdoor lovers
- People who like to feel essential (because you are!)

Bonus: You’ll get your steps in before most people even wake up.

Volunteers will help direct day-of-race volunteers, greet race participants, distribute 'doggie bandanas,' answer questions, and provide general race information to the public. Some will work the gear truck, helping participants to check-in their belongings, should they choose to do so.

Pre-race day volunteer opportunity on Saturday, June 7th.

Support with early packet pick-up at the Seattle Animal Shelter. Volunteers will help with t-shirt and bib distribution before the race.
