Reason for Buying: They wanted a fixer-upper and sought the walkable, small-town feel of the Heights. They chose this house after a five-minute tour!

Initial Appeal or Favorite Features: Solid foundation, high ceilings, large closets, nice-sized yard, lots of potential

Home Style: French Farmhouse

Renovations: Donna designed the remodel plans for the home and garden, including new landscaping, a new outdoor kitchen, a firepit, raised garden, outdoor dining area, completely rebuilt kitchen inside, and an added wine room.

Reason for Buying: Brie and Scott found their home through a friend. The house was part of the "wholesale market;" the previous owner's children were eager to sell, presenting an opportunity they couldn't resist!

Initial Appeal or Favorite Features: The Kelmans were initially drawn to the Heights neighborhood's character, with century-old live oaks and its proximity to the Heights Boulevard trail.

Home Style: Craftsman

Renovations: The original renovation plans were denied by the Historic Commission but the Kelmans successfully appealed. This prompted Brie to become a Historic Commissioner herself! She used the Houzz website extensively to plan the remodel. Something very important to her was being able to see shiplap and transom windown from any spot in the house!

Home Style: "Clean Craftsman"

Renovations: This was originally a family home, then a "cat house," and is now the office for Blink Lending & Investments! They demolished and rebuilt the original hom, adding 400 sq ft. Project delays and trouble extended the timeline to nearly a year, but the rebuild was worth it. The home features wood windows, metal glass doors, cement siding, and a pier-and-beam foundation.The evergreen dryscape was done by Yards by Julio.
