America 250th at Alabama Constitution Hall Park

Join us for a compelling program exploring the lives and legacies of Black Patriots who shaped the American Revolution. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with a panel discussion beginning at 10:30 a.m. Before or after the panel, enjoy an open flow experience with interactive stations highlighting James Armistead Lafayette, Phillis Wheatley, Peter Salem, and Prince Hall. Each station is 5-7 minutes long. Interpreters will be present to answer questions about Alabama Constitution Hall Park. Light refreshments will be provided. The site will remain open until 2:00 p.m.

Join us as we explore women’s political influence, economic leadership, logistical contributions, and their role in sustaining households and resistance networks during wartime.  

This program focuses on surveying and mapping, and on how land division enabled military movement, settlement, and the creation of new states, including the transition of frontier territories into organized governments.  

Join us as we examine courier systems, signal methods, intelligence networks, and the critical role of timely information in Revolutionary military strategy.  

This program addresses how immigrant communities and foreign-born allies contributed skills, labor, and military leadership, and how migration patterns continued to shape early American and Alabama society after independence.
