Event Description
2025 Trail Running Film Festival
Wednesday, August 20th | The Orange Peel | Asheville, NC
This past year has been a challenging one for our community—especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. It’s been a season of reflection, rebuilding, and resilience. While we typically host the Trail Running Film Festival in the spring, we knew our community needed more time—to heal, to recover, and to rise.
And now, with great care and intention, we’re moving forward.
We’re thrilled to announce the 2025 Trail Running Film Festival, happening Wednesday, August 20th at The Orange Peel in Asheville. This year’s event is more than just a night of films—it’s a celebration of the trails that connect us, the strength we’ve rediscovered, and the incredible spirit of our trail running family.
The evening will feature a thoughtfully curated lineup of films showcasing breathtaking adventures, stories of personal transformation, and the connection between people and wild places. We’re especially honored to feature a short film by local filmmaker and disaster relief worker Karl of Dead Crab Films, sharing powerful stories from our region in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
These films highlight the grit, joy, and heart of a community that continues to show up—together.
Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner, a curious adventurer, or someone who finds peace in nature, this night is for you.
Come be part of something meaningful.
Let’s rise, run, and reconnect—together.
