5280 A Cappella, multi-award winning and one of Denver's Top Vocal Entertainment groups is doing a fund raising concert for Merritt Mullet Schreckengast and his family. 5280 A Cappella are the 2026 Champions of Harmony Sweepstakes in the Rocky Mountain Region and have been gracing Colorado stages of all sizes and shapes for 21 years. 

5280 A Cappella will entertain you all with their "signature" variety of genres at this event.  Merritt is 2 years old and has several disabilities. He was born with microcephaly, meaning his head is smaller than expected due to differences in brain development, along with a simplified gyral pattern, which refers to fewer folds in the brain and can impact how the brain processes and communicates. 

Merritt has since been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, which affects his movement, muscle tone, and coordination. He also has epilepsy, including infantile spasms and tonic seizures, meaning he experiences recurrent seizures that require close monitoring and care. Merritt has CVI (cortical visual impairment), where his brain has difficulty processing what his eyes see, and dysphagia, which makes swallowing challenging and can impact his ability to eat safely. Jeremy Mullet is 5280 A Cappella's long time Baritone and "MC" for their group. 5280 A Cappella is coming off of a large musical win and wants to celebrate this along with honoring Merritt's Journey.
