Event Description
Saturday | October 10, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM
When visiting the gardens in spring, summer, and fall, you might spot butterflies, moths, and impressive garden spiders among the foliage. But have you ever looked closer, deeper, and much smaller? There's a whole world of tiny creatures that creep, crawl, jump, and fly! Join us as Deb & Art share their discoveries photographing the gardens' smallest inhabitants. They'll demonstrate their equipment, show favorite photos of the insects they've encountered, and explore how you can start capturing these tiny garden dwellers with your own camera! Admission to the gardens is included in the ticket price.
About your instructors:
Deb and Art combine their passions for travel and photography to capture the world in new ways. Recently, they turned their macro lens toward bugs and insects. During their first trial run at the Delaware Botanical Gardens, they were amazed by the beauty of its smallest residents—from expressive jumping spiders to colorful June bugs and pollen-laden pollinators!
