Event Description
Working in pencil, pen, and ink, Sumie creates portraits with an economy of line, using tonal modeling and the play of light and shadow to give form and depth to the face. The drawings move between spare contour and areas of concentrated tone. Each portrait takes approximately 10-15 minutes.
