Held at The Oaks Golf Course, golfers can visit the Art of Cheese Clubhouse and Pro Shop, engage with golf-loving cheesemakers, and compete in cheese-themed hole competitions. From Dairy to Decanter: Cheese and Wine Excursion

Understanding the nuances of cheese and wine pairings, from the distinct flavors and aromas of the individual components to how those change and complement each other, enhances our appreciation of this classic match. The day starts with a sensory evaluation course taught by experts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Center for Dairy Research. We’ll take those lessons on a visit to the American Wine Project and have an expert-led pairing session. We’ll wrap up with a wine and cheese-themed lunch prepared by a renowned local chef.

Pizza Night at Seven Acre Dairy

Wrap up a cheese-filled weekend at this family-friendly event that is a nod to the Pizza Farm tradition in Wisconsin. The event is held on the banks of the Sugar River in Paoli, at Seven Acre Dairy Company, a restored dairy factory reimagined as a one-of-a-kind restaurant and hotel. Your pizza chef will be Luke Zahm, a James Beard-nominated chef, host of the hit PBS show Wisconsin Foodie, and owner of the widely acclaimed Driftless Café in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Renowned for his artisanal pizzas crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, Luke will collaborate with Flour Girl & Flame to prepare pizzas on-site, each one hand-tossed and fired in a mobile wood-burning oven fueled by Wisconsin kiln-dried cherry wood. Relax outside, grab a slice, and enjoy live entertainment on the banks of the Sugar River to close out the festival.

Pleasant Ridge to Taliesin: A Taste of Wisconsin’s Masterpieces

Guests will visit Uplands Cheese to learn from Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker Andy Hatch, maker of the award-winning Pleasant Ridge Reserve. The journey continues to Riverview Terrace Café, where chef and host of PBS’s Wisconsin Foodie, Luke Zahm, will discuss the importance of place in crafting artisanal culinary masterpieces, drawing parallels between cheesemaking and Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural innovations. The experience concludes with a private tour of Taliesin, Wright's home and studio, showcasing a deeper appreciation for the region's artistry and heritage.

From Farm to Cheese: A Creamery Tour and Tasting

Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese in Waterloo, Wisconsin, is a family-owned farm and creamery, and proud producers of renewable energy.. Their milk is pumped directly into Crave Brothers’ cheesemaking facility, producing incredibly flavorful and award-winning cheese. We’ll tour and taste our way through the farm and creamery to see how they make their spectacular farmstead cheeses. Afterward, we’ll stop for lunch at a nearby retired and reclaimed Wisconsin dairy barn, where chef Evan Dannells from Madison’s Cadre will prepare a Wisconsin Cheese-inspired meal.

Artisan Cheese Culinary Collab with Sean Pharr & Dan Jacobs

Experience an exceptional evening of culinary artistry as chefs Sean Pharr of Madison’s Mint Mark and Dan Jacobs of Milwaukee’s EsterEv and Top Chef Wisconsin unite for a dining event celebrating the craftsmanship of Wisconsin cheese. The exclusive menu will seamlessly weave Jacobs’ globally inspired flavors with Pharr’s refined, produce-driven approach, all set within the airy, garden-infused ambiance of Mint Mark. Each course will spotlight Wisconsin cheese in imaginative and elevated forms, offering a true homage to its versatility and terroir.

Milk Street Live with Christopher Kimball

Join everyone’ s favorite bow tie-wearing food personality, Christopher Kimball of Milk Street fame, for a special live podcast from the dairy state! Kimball tours all over the world, going anywhere and everywhere to ask questions and get answers about cooking, food, wine, farming, restaurants, literature, and the lives and cultures of the people who grow, produce, and create the food we eat. It’s no wonder then that he is traveling to Wisconsin specifically for the Wisconsin Art of Cheese Festival! The show will be recorded at Madison’ s historic Orpheum Theatre on State Street, a mere two blocks from the capitol square.
