Join DBG docent and certified naturalist Elizabeth Rives for an engaging introduction to identifying native trees and shrubs. This workshop offers a balanced, hands-on learning experience: we will spend the first half in a classroom session covering key identification characteristics—such as leaves, bark, and twigs—followed by an outdoor walk to practice these new skills in the landscape. Come learn practical, holistic methods for identifying trees while exploring the fascinating woodland ecology of the Delaware Botanic Gardens. Admission to the gardens is included in the ticket price.
