Event Description
The New Orleans Bayou Bluegrass Festival returns on March 6, 2027 at Deutsches Haus for a full day of live bluegrass music, community and family friendly fun.
The 2027 festival will feature six performers, led by headliner Tim O’Brien, along with Mason Via, Darol Anger & Bruce Molsky, Mountain Highway, The Tanglers and The Ramblin’ Women. In addition to the music, the festival will include educational programming, opportunities to learn more about bluegrass and its connection to Louisiana, food, drinks and community activities.
Presented by the Delta Hayride Association, the festival was created to promote and preserve bluegrass music in Louisiana and the Gulf South while giving back to the community. The event also serves as a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting charitable causes including Special Olympics Louisiana.
The festival runs from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and is designed to bring together longtime bluegrass fans, musicians, families and people experiencing the music for the first time.
