BOLIVIAN CEREMONIAL HEADDRESS TRADITION MEETS CONSERVATION
This stunning Bolivian ceremonial headdress is a true work of art—so beautifully crafted that it appears to be made from real macaw feathers. Yet it is made entirely from sustainable artificial feathers made from palm fronds and cotton, without harming wildlife, and while preserving ancestral traditions. This extraordinary piece was hand-carried from Bolivia by Bennett Hennessey of Asociación Armonía and represents years of meaningful collaboration between Armonía and Indigenous communities in the Beni region of Bolivia, where the Blue-throated Macaw lives.
