Training Description
Summer is the best time to train for a 5K- our Moonlight 5K or another 3.1 mile race. Whether you are a walker looking to take your first running steps or an experienced 5Ker looking to improve your speed, there is a place in our training group for you! This group will help you establish a consistent running or walking routine for six weeks ending with the Moonlight 5K on July 12th or another race or goal of your choosing.
You will meet twice a week for supported group runs and walks with your fellow runners and coach — once for a speed workout and once for distance in addition to following a weekly training plan. Weekly emails will outline your training plans for the days you don’t meet and allow you to follow along on your own for a virtual experience if you wish.
No running experience is necessary! Runners, walkers, and run/walkers of all levels are welcome!
