A Very Merry Weekend in Calvert awaits!

Start with the 'Christmas Festival & Tree Lighting' Friday evening, December 5th @ 5 PM as Virginia Field Park is transformed into a Winter Wonderland.   Stroll through the thousands of lights while enjoying live music, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as caroling and the traditional lighting of the Christmas Tree under the 100 year old pavilion. There will be activities for the whole family with food vendors to keep the festival goers full of energy. This event has NO ENTRY FEE! Please note: Most vendors accept cash only

 

Saturday morning Check-In for the Calvert Holiday Tour of Historic Homes & Churches.

The Calvert Historical Foundation presents the 'Calvert Holiday Tour of Historic Homes & Churches'

Cost:      $35.00 per person

Time:     8:30 am   CHECK-IN

Required to pick-up your prepaid Printed Admission/Punch Ticket

Where:  620 South Main St  at Calvert City Hall & Museum 

Tickets holders must present a printed Admission/Punch ticket for entrance

        There is no re-entry at any church or homes

Tickets will be availabe for purchase at Check-in

No discount for tickets purchased after tour starts

Ticket holders will be guided through and have the opportunity to view:

TWELVE beautiful Victorian homes and churches 

Showcasing: 

Architecural history and diverse culture heritage

Storyboards documenting preservation of historic places at select homes

Beautiful holiday season decorations

                                            11:00 am - 2:30 pm:  BONUS stop #7  Special Showing time

Last Chance Showing of the Foster/O'Donnell house,

With  grandeur architecture and historic features

Will not be offered on future tours

Special performance by pipe organist, Dr. Danny Kelly, 

Endowed Professor of Fine Arts at Prairie View A&M,

and Director of Music at St Francis Episcopal Church in Houston, Tx

 

Saturday night visit one of our local restaurants, winery, saloons, or full bar.  Stay a second night and enjoy some Christmas shopping at Calvert's unique antique and gift shops on Sunday!
