Bobcat Goldthwait returns to Reno Tahoe Comedy for a SPECIAL EVENT! For those of you who missed his last show, this is your chance to catch one of the best acts to hit the stage.
Bobcat Goldthwait burst onto the comedy scene at just 20 years old, making his debut on The David Letterman Show. Since then, he’s carved out a wildly original career as a stand-up comic, actor, voice artist, and award-winning director. Known for his quirky energy and unmistakable voice, he’s starred in HBO and Showtime specials, performed worldwide, and even opened for Nirvana on tour.
While many recognize him as the eccentric Zed in the Police Academy franchise or from Scrooged alongside Bill Murray, Goldthwait has also made a name for himself behind the camera. His directorial credits include the cult-favorite World’s Greatest Dad (starring Robin Williams), Willow Creek (starring Bigfoot), and provocative films like God Bless America and Sleeping Dogs Lie. His documentaries Call Me Lucky and Joy Ride have earned acclaim, solidifying his status as a filmmaker unafraid to challenge the norm.
A four-time Sundance alumnus, Goldthwait’s work has screened at prestigious festivals worldwide, earning him the German Independent Honorary Award and the revered "Filmmaker on the Edge" prize, presented by his hero John Waters. His TV directing credits span hit shows like Community, Maron, and Jimmy Kimmel Live, while his knack for capturing stand-up brilliance has led him to direct specials for comedy heavyweights like Patton Oswalt, Marc Maron, and Pete Davidson.
Never one to slow down, Goldthwait is currently working on new film projects and penning his autobiography, promising more unexpected twists from one of comedy’s most unconventional minds.
