Event Description

Cowboy & Cowgirl Winter Speed Clinic December 7, 2024 1-4pm 

  • Ages 8 -18
  • No equipment needed
  • Get elite speed training from:
    • USATF LEVEL 2 Coaches
    • USTFCCCA Certified Coaches 

This day is specially designed for student-athletes ages 8-18 looking to improve their speed for any sport from elite-level coaches at an affordable price. It is also a great opportunity to use our facility, meet our coaching staff, and see the way we coach. Our goal is to create a great atmosphere for the campers to learn and apply it to their sport. No equipment is needed except athletic clothing and shoes. Must have a physical within the last year and a copy of this must be brought to camp.

MEET OUR COACHES 

  • Lathaniel Jeanlouis – Sprints/Hurdles/Relays/800m
  • Seth Andres – Jumps/Multis
  • Janell Fullerton – Throws 

Lathaniel Jeanlouis :- Coach Lathaniel Jeanlouis has dedicated four seasons to McNeese, specializing in sprints, hurdles, relays, and the 800m. With extensive experience coaching both at the collegiate and high school levels, he is a USATF Level 2 Certified Coach in Sprints, Hurdles, and Relays. Under his guidance, McNeese's women's team made history in 2022 by securing their first-ever titles in both indoor and outdoor track. In the 2024 season, Coach Jeanlouis led multiple athletes to the NCAA East Regional meet and developed a world-class competitor who went on to represent Team Canada. Additionally, several walk-on athletes earned scholarships following significant improvements in their first year. 

Seth Andres :- Coach Seth Andres is entering his first season at McNeese, specializing in jumps and multis. Previously, he led the entirety of field events, sprints, and hurdles at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA for two years. A two-time Oregon State champion in the 110m hurdles, he also earned junior college All-American honors in the 110H, 400H, and 4x100m relay. Seth graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Communications.

Schedule

December 7th, 2024 1 pm Check in at the Outdoor Track Field House.  If poor weather it will be held inside at the Rec Complex 

  • 1:10 pm Introductions and Warm-up
  • 1:45 pm Acceleration Development
  • 2:30 pm Speed Development
  • 3:15 pm Agilities
  • 4 pm Dismissal
