Join your fellow teammates on Team DetermiNation for an evening of celebrating an incredible season of fundraising, training, and raising awareness for the American Cancer Society in anticipation of Race Day! Program will include ACS speakers, teammate stories, awards, and some words of motivation to kick off the big weekend. Menu to be shared closer to the event. We hope you will be able to join us and celebrate all you have accomplished!

Cocktail Reception:6pm-6:45pm
Dinner Begins: 6:45pm 
Program Begins: 7pm

Team DetermiNation Race Day Space - Sunday, October 8 Palmer House Hilton (17 E. Monroe) -  Grand & State Ballrooms 
Doors open at 5am and room will close at 5pm
DetermiNation Athletes - Free

*DetermiNation Athletes only until 9 AM

DetermiNation participants are welcome to join us race morning for coffee and light breakfast snacks (assorted bagels and spreads, bananas, coffee).  We recommend you eat your normal pre-run meal, or bring it with you (remember: nothing new on race day).  We will have private gear check located to the left of the Grand & State Ballroom so you can leave all your items here before heading to the start corrals. Participants and guests are welcome to leave luggage with us at gear check.  We will escort each wave to the start corrals with plenty of time. 

After you finish, come back to bask in that finish line glory! We will have post-run stretching available from our friends at Aligned Modern Health, recovery boots by HyperIce, photo opportunities, music, food, and fun! 

Race Day Space is free to DetermiNation athletes and $20 per guest. Guests may join us in the ballroom beginning at 9am and will need to check in and receive a wristband to access the space. Prior to 9am, only DetermiNation athletes will be allowed in the space.

COVID-19 SAFETY CERTIFICATION. By participating in the Activities, I agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, and certify that I do not fall into any of the following categories:  1. Individuals who currently or within the past ten (10) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others; for additional information on symptoms, please reference the CDC symptom list found at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html; or 2. Individuals who have been diagnosed with, or had close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past ten days.

COVID-19 ASSUMPTION OF RISK. I acknowledge and understand that participation in the Activities includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist.  I knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, even if arising from the negligence or fault of ACS.

Protect Our Community -  Please report to DetermiNationIL@cancer.org or your staff partner (Jessica Bloodgood or Bailey Hotz) if you later contract COVID-19 and believe you could have received or spread the virus at the event.
