Join us for the fourth Detroit Dirt Collective group run of 2026 at Pinckney Recreation Area on the Potowatomi trails!

We'll have a shorter, 4.8 mile loop and an 11.45 mile loop.  These trails are similar in difficult in technicality to the trails we ran at Holly Rec in June.  More elevation gain, but the hills are rolling vs. longer climbs.  This is a fun, group long run, so we'll keep a comfortable conversation pace.

Park at the far back parking lot, closest to the lake.

Don't forget this is a State Park, so you have to have the Recreation Passport.

There are toilets at the trailhead parking lot.

Navigation

Runners need to be prepared to navigate the course through Garmin, AllTrails, Strava, Gaia, etc.  We’ll have group leaders, but we can’t guarantee we’ll have one that’s going your pace.

Fuel & Hydration

If you're running the 11.45 mile loop, be prepared with hydration and fuel to be on the trails for around 2.5 hours.  There's a water pump at Blind Lake campground, about halfway, that tastes pretty good, where you could refill your bottles.  It's on your right hand side as you enter the campground.  It’s tucked away off the road a bit and might be missed if you're looking at your feet.  We'll have some Hüma and GU gels and water at the start in the parking lot.
