Join us for the final Detroit Dirt Collective group run of 2026 on the trails at Proud Lake Rec Area!

We'll run 7.6 miles. There's an easy option to cut off 1.6 miles to make it shorter. The trails are relatively smooth and not too technical or hilly, although there are some roots, boardwalks, short hills, etc.

This is a fun, group long run, so we'll keep a comfortable conversation pace.

You can also navigate to 3500 N Wixom Rd, Commerce Township, MI 48382.  Once you enter the park off Wixom Road do NOT turn left towards Park HQ.  Continue straight another .2 miles to the parking lot and trailhead where we're meeting.

Don't forget this is part of a State Park, so you have to have the Recreation Passport.

There is a vault toilet at the trailhead parking lot.

Navigation

Runners need to be prepared to navigate the course through Garmin, AllTrails, Strava, Gaia, etc.  We are NOT just following the trail markers.  We’ll have group leaders, but we can’t guarantee we’ll have one that’s going your pace.

Fuel & Hydration

Be prepared with hydration and fuel to be on the trails for around 1.25-1.5 hours.  We'll have some Hüma and GU gels and water at the start in the parking lot.
