Join us for the fifth Detroit Dirt Collective group run of 2026 on the Highland Recreation Area Mountain Bike trails!

We'll run 7.1 miles — loops A & D.

The A loop is 3.8 miles, hilly and includes many short, steep climbs and drops.  The D loop is 3.8 miles and is also considered to be very technical as it includes tight turns, big rocks and steep hills.

This is a fun, group long run, so we'll keep a comfortable conversation pace.

Don't forget this is part of a State Park, so you have to have the Recreation Passport.

There is a vault toilet at the trailhead parking lot.

Navigation

Runners need to be prepared to navigate the course through Garmin, AllTrails, Strava, Gaia, etc.  You can also just follow the trail markers for A & D loops.  We’ll have group leaders, but we can’t guarantee we’ll have one that’s going your pace.

Fuel & Hydration

Be prepared with hydration and fuel to be on the trails for around 1.5 hours.  We'll have some Hüma and GU gels and water at the start in the parking lot.
