ABOUT THE TELETHON

Callywood Media along with Feed The Streets Cali presents the 4th annual 24-hour telethon live on July 7, 2022, starting at 7am Los Angeles Time. This Facebook live features music, interviews, and fun while endeavoring to raise money to help the homeless and highlight black-owned businesses. Independent Artists, Entrepreneurs, and Celebrity.

When Cosandra Calloway, founder of Callywood Media (aka DJ Callywood) was asked about the genesis of this event she says: " I hosted a 24 Hour Facebook Live a few years ago, and raised $500.00 and was able to help several homeless people. Last year during the 2020blackouttelethon for www.freedthestreets.life raised $1,243.00 which help giveaway over 500 coronavirus boxes full of essentials and food, needed while living on the street. "I wanted to revisit this again hoping to raise more funds seeing Coronavirus is still negatively affected a lot of homeless people.

This Facebook Live is an opportunity to raise money and awareness about the challenges that the homeless face while promoting black-owned businesses.

New Local Non-Profit Business FeedTheStreetsCali.org Emerges To Assist the Homeless

Community organizer, entertainment personality and social media influencer Cosandra Calloway continues to evidence her passion for people most notably the homeless by spearheading an annual Christmas giveaway to those who are permanent shelter challenged.  What was once a grassroots/one-person endeavor, Cosandra’s thirty-year commitment to the cause has evolved and grown into a fully functioning non-profit business named FeedtheStreetsCali.org.  She now works with a board of directors and a host of volunteers.  The tremendous positive response has been affirmed by collaborations with other non-profit organizations like eradicatethehate.org, ourcommitment.inc, and I’m Every Woman Inc. to combine their efforts and resources to reach more of those in need.  Donated items like clothing and footwear, personal hygiene items, non-perishable snack foods, and water have resulted in FeedtheStreetsCali.org being able to give away this 2021 Christmas season 300 gift-wrapped presents of assorted contents.

In the past, there have been women’s emergency shelters and other homeless living spaces that have been the beneficiary of FeedtheStreetsCali.org. Anyone knowing homeless organizations in need please feel free to contact FeedtheStreetsCali.org through its founder.

Please note this is an ongoing, year-long giveaway, not just a holiday event. As FeedtheStreetsCali.org receives in-kind donations, they will be distributed thus this is a call to action to any corporation interested in becoming a contributor or sponsor.
