This year we gather around the theme- We Keep the Fires Lit: Rising Through Milk Medicine

This theme honors Indigenous lactation as an expression of continuity, collective care, and living cultural practice. Fire represents our responsibility to tend what sustains life- our knowledge, our families, and our future generations. Even amid hardship and shifting challenges, Indigenous communities endure through brilliance, adaptation, and relationship. First foods carry memory and medicine forward, nourishing not only our bodies and babies, but the continuity of our communities. 

Purpose: 

This gathering is a hands-on, community-led convening designed to move participants from learning into action. It emphasizes practical skill-building, peer collaboration, policy and advocacy education, and culturally grounded wellness and healing practices. Participants leave with concrete tools, shared strategies, and strengthened relationships they can immediately apply in their work and communities.

Program Structure:  11 Sessions throughout the Gathering (Plenary's A-K) 

Sunday: Pre-Gathering Event (5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.) 

Monday: Gathering Day 1 (8:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.)
