Event Description
Join us for the First Annual Gals & Geezers Pickleball Tournament presented by Life Senior Services. You DO NOT have to be a member of the Roma Berry Activity Center to participate, however, you do need to be 50 years old or over.
If you have not been to this fantastic facility, you are in for a treat. They have four indoor pickleball courts with high quality tennis court surfaces. heavy duty semi-permanent nets and great lighting. The official ball will be the orange Franklin X-40 outdoor ball. As a bonus, if you become a new member of Roma Berry during the tournament, your $35 will go toward the $100 annual membership fee.
The schedule of events are as follows...
Women's Doubles 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0+ divisions will be on Friday February 27 from 8am to 4pm.
Men's Doubles 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0+ divisions will be on Saturday February 28 from 8am to 4pm.
No Mixed Doubles
Start times are listed on the website. All divisions will be round robin play followed by bracket play with awards being awarded to the 1st thru 3rd place finishers.
Snacks and drinks will be provided to all particiapants. Accompanied children of any age are permitted to spectate.
PRICING IS PER TEAM OF TWO! One person per team is responsible for paying for both players. It is the registrants responsibility for any reimbursements from his/her partner.

All Divisions will consist of a round robin followed by bracket play.
All matches will be played through the Swish app and scores will be recorded within the app. Score will NOT be reported to DUPR.
Winners of each robin robin pool will be determined by the following in this order
1) Games won and lost
2) Point Differential
3) Head to Head Matchup
4) Coin toss
Players are allowed to receive coaching from outside parties only during timeouts and between games. Coaching during play is not permitted. In situations where players feel the opponents are getting outside coaching during play, they should halt play and seek a tournament representative to resolve the issue.
Good sportsmanship is required from all players at all times.
