What began as a modest Halloween setup on Gorgas Street in Louisville Ohio, has grown into an annual professional haunted trail, drawing in crowds from all over. Gorgas Street Horror was started and owned by local haunt enthusiasts, Pearson DeVaul and Brandon Wright. It originated in 2019 on the front porch of a residential home. It featured just a few static props, a fog machine, and a bluetooth speaker emitting stereotypical Halloween music.
The DeVaul and Wright families, driven by the overwhelming support from the Louisville community, dedicated themselves to expanding the haunt. Each year, they introduced more elaborate and thrilling elements, aiming to outdo the spectacle of the previous haunt. This dedication to enhancement continued for three years, until the original space could no longer contain the growing attraction.
In 2022, Gorgas Street Horror made a significant leap, transitioning from a home-based haunt to a fully operational haunted trail located at Mary C. Metzger Park in Louisville Ohio. This move allowed for a larger, more immersive experience, solidifying the event’s status as a staple of Louisville’s Halloween festivities.
