Yes, free parking is available at the Arboretum. Please do not park at the movie theater. Enter the Arboretum, drive past the Visitor Center, and follow the directions of our parking attendants wearing yellow safety vests. They will guide you to the designated parking area near the Haunted Trail entrance and exit.

Guests typically begin lining up around 6:30 PM, and event staff begin checking in ticket holders at that time. The Haunted Trail officially opens at 7:00 PM, and no guests will be permitted to enter the trail before then.

What is the refund and cancellation policy?

All Haunted Trail ticket purchases are final, nonrefundable, and nontransferable. Because this event is a fundraiser supporting the Northland Arboretum, refunds will not be issued for unused tickets or changes in personal plans.

The Arboretum reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or modify the event due to severe weather, emergencies, circumstances beyond our control, or concerns for the safety of guests, volunteers, and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.

No, pets are not allowed at the Haunted Trail. Please leave your furry friends safely at home. Trained service animals are permitted.

Yes! Concession stands at the beginning and end of the trail will sell snacks and nonalcoholic beverages. Alcohol is not permitted anywhere at the Haunted Trail.

All ages are welcome! Children age 2 and younger receive free admission; all other guests must have a General Admission or Fast Pass ticket. Parents and guardians should decide whether their child can comfortably handle the scares.

• Low Scare includes witches, skeletons, zombies, and other spooky characters.

• High Scare features more intense surprises and jump scares.

• Insane High Scare is our most intense experience and may include being chased.

Guests may stop after any level, allowing them to experience only Low Scare, continue through Low and High Scare, or complete all three. Our actors will never touch guests. Security personnel are also available to escort anyone out if the experience becomes too frightening.

No. Alcohol, smoking, and vaping are not permitted anywhere at the Haunted Trail.

The Haunted Trail travels over uneven, natural terrain and is not currently wheelchair accessible. Heavy-duty or all-terrain strollers can generally navigate the trail, but standard strollers may have difficulty. Improving accessibility is important to us, and we hope to make the experience more accessible in the future.

General Admission is valid only on the date purchased. Fast Pass provides a shorter line and may be used on any one of the three event nights.

The Haunted Trail is an outdoor event that travels over uneven, natural terrain. Wear warm, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Costumes are welcome and encouraged, but real or costume weapons are not permitted.

Yes. The Haunted Trail includes flashing lights, fog effects, loud sounds, sudden noises, and other intense special effects. Guests with sensory sensitivities, respiratory conditions, epilepsy, heart conditions, or other medical concerns should use their best judgment before entering.

One complete walk-through of the Haunted Trail, with the option to experience Low, High, and Insane High Scare. Tickets can only be used once.

The Haunted Trail is the Northland Arboretum’s largest fundraiser of the year. Your ticket helps care for our grounds, trails, gardens, and community programs while supporting exciting improvements such as expanding the Bike Skills Park and lighting the Forest Ice Skating Trail. It also helps us dream up and create new outdoor experiences that bring people together and encourage our community to get outside and connect with nature.
