Hawk Watch at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center from 9 am-2 pm.

Join us as we search for migratory south-bound raptors at the hawk watch platform at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center (1725 Trappe Church Rd., Darlington, MD 21034). We will meet at 9am and walk the trails around the property in search of migrating songbirds as we make our way to our hilltop hawk watch platform. Once we reach the hawk watching platform we will sit or stand and tally migrating raptors as they fly through the Deer Creek Valley. You must join the group for the hike at 9am but you do not have to stay the entire time. Please bring plenty of water, snacks, some comfortable footwear, and outdoor clothing. Target birds for the trip include Broad-winged Hawk, Sharp-Shinned Hawk, and other raptors. Accessibility: Grassy Trails, moderate hill up to the observation deck. Restrooms are available.
