Drew was a long-time referee and umpire for school sports. He's even in the Indiana Sports Official Hall of Fame. He was also a student manager at ND, working on Ara Parseghian's last national championship football team in 1973 season.

Funds raised for the Drew Danik '75 Memorial Scholarship will be earmarked for tuition for ND student managers, trainers, and atheletes; and expenses for intramural sports student officials, referees, and umpires. Priority will be given to those students with the greatest financial need and to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Hog alumni. These donations are tax-deductible and should count toward your ND alumni football ticket allocation, if you enter your alumni information.
