Tenth Hog Wild To Be First Event at Field Hall

The 10th Annual Hog Wild – which will be one of the most exciting fundraisers ever held in Port Angeles – will be on Saturday, June 17, and will be the first event held in the newly constructed Field Arts and Events Hall in downtown Port Angeles.

“We are excited to be able to hold this event in one of the theaters in the Northwest,” said OMCF Foundation Executive Director Bruce Skinner. “it will be a performance hall for everyone, and an incredible game changer for downtown Port Angeles.”

Hog Wild will continue to include games where attendees can win prizes, but several other performers have been added to the schedule, including five who have performed in Circus or Teatro Zinzanni – the highly popular event in Seattle. It will also feature a showing of the movie Casablanca in Field Hall’s state of the art theater.

“We will have a costume contest – we encourage people to show up in 40’s or movie dress from the Casablanca era,” said Skinner. “Many people have seen Casablanca several times on television, but few have seen it on the big screen, which they’ll be able to do at Hog Wild.”

Individual performers at the event will include:

  • Host Kevin Joyce, the Co-founder of EnJoy Productions, and a musician and auctioneer, has become one of the most popular and sought-after fundraising hosts in the Pacific Northwest. He created and hosted the TV show Big Night Out for two seasons on the Seattle Channel.

  • Mick Holsbeke was a cast member in the 2018 re-opening of the world famous Teatro Zinzanni, and is a world-renown clown with a ravenous appetite for the ridiculous. His circus expertise was developed at the prestigious Ecole Nationale de Cirque de Montreal. He has garnered multiple prizes at the Festival Mondiale du Cirque de Demain in Paris, and also has performed with several international companies, including Cirque Du Soleil.\\Alex Zerbe is known for “moving like a rubber band from one end of the stage to the other.” He specializes in beatboxing, juggling, dancing, signing, music and magic.  Piers Morgan of “America’s Got Talent” called him, “the total package.” Zerbe is a Hacky Sack World Champion, was voted the Pacific Northwest’s Funnies Prop comic, and is a two-time Guinness World Record Holder.

  • Jenny Penny is an aerialist, acrobalancer, fire performer, circus entertainer, burlesque dancer and costumer. Performing since 2004, she has been featured at venues such as The Gorge, WaMu Theater, the Gramercy Theater in New York and the Electric Daisy.  Carnival in Las Vegas. She has been instructing partner balancing, aerial, fire arts and stilting in Seattle for more than 10 years.

Casablanca, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, has been called by many as the greatest movie of all time. Two of its songs – As Time Goes By and La Marseilaise – will be performed prior and during the movie by Everett Polanski and Amanda Bacon.

Bacon is also a member of the highly popular local band Black Diamond Junction, who will also perform.

“This is going to be a fast-paced affair with lots of entertainment,” said Skinner. “It will be unique to the fundraising event category.”

"Since we are both in the health care business, we are pleased to partner with the Foundation and OMC," said NOHN Administrator Michael Maxwell. "We are pleased to be a part of the effort to make our local Medical Center a great rural center."
