Hometown Hope is committed to lighting the path where the light doesn’t reach.

Founded by professional athlete Dee Alford, the Hometown Hope Foundation exists to support and uplift youth from rural and overlooked communities.

Dee grew up in Griffin, Georgia, where dreams were big, but resources were limited. He knows what it feels like to be talented but unseen, determined, but unsupported. While kids in cities may have access to mentorship, exposure, and development programs, many young people in small towns are left to figure it out alone.

Hometown Hope is here to change that.

Exposure and Access

We bring resources and visibility to young people in rural areas through camps, workshops, and mentorship programs that create real pathways to success.

Academic Excellence

We provide tutoring, test prep, and college readiness programs that help students perform in the classroom and prepare for their future.

Physical and Mental Health

We promote total wellness through training, nutrition education, therapy access, and tools for emotional and mental resilience.

Financial Literacy

We teach the money skills that matter most: saving, budgeting, credit, and long-term planning, so that students and families are prepared for real life.

Community

We help students grow into grounded leaders who stay true to their values, give back to their hometowns, and uplift others as they rise.

Hometown Hope is about more than success; it’s about making sure no kid gets left behind just because of where they come from. It’s about giving the next generation the tools, belief, and the opportunity to chase their dreams and achieve them.

OUR MISSION

Hometown Hope, established by Dee Alford, is dedicated to igniting hope and opportunity in rural and underserved communities by equipping youth with academic support, athletic development, and real-world financial literacy; helping them build a future rooted in pride, purpose, and potential.

We believe that talent is everywhere, but in the small towns and back roads where few are watching, it often goes unseen. Our mission is to find it, nurture it, and help it shine.
