Join us at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center for an unforgettable evening under the stars!

On Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, Sam Atkins of the Harford County Astronomical Society will lead an engaging introduction to astronomy presentation in our classroom, covering the basics of the night sky and astronomy. Whether you are completely new to astronomy or already enjoy stargazing, this program will offer a fun and educational experience for all ages.

Following the presentation, guests will head outside for a guided telescope viewing session where we will observe and attempt to locate various celestial objects throughout the night sky, weather permitting. Participants may have the opportunity to view planets, star clusters, and other fascinating astronomical features while learning more about them from experienced observers.

The program will take place indoors at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center, located at 1725 Trappe Church Rd., Darlington, MD 21034. The presentation will begin at 8:30 PM, with outdoor telescope viewing immediately afterward. 

This event is weather dependent, our rain date will be TBD. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children with fees. Donations are appreciated! Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. The Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center property is not yet open to the public and is only open for special events such as this one at this time.
