LAKE SAWYER SWERVE - 8:00am DOCK #81
Lake Sawyer has a long-standing tradition of celebrating Independence Day with an early morning waterski event. This year, we’re proud to continue that tradition by inviting lake residents to take advantage of the calm, glassy waters and start the holiday with a ski run.
This special event will feature individual skiers, one at a time, showcasing their skills. Each skier will begin at the mid-point of the lake, ski down to the south end for a brief rest, then return to the mid-point to finish their run. Only one skier will be on the water at a time to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all. There is no slalom competition element, we are swerving for big spray style points. All ability levels welcome.
A waterski boat and tow rope will be provided—just bring your slalom ski and life jacket, and join us for a fun and memorable start to the 4th of July! Please Pre-Register.
Spectator boats are welcome to join and enjoy the event—please watch from a safe distance outside the designated boat path. During the event, we kindly ask all other boats on the lake to observe a no-wake policy to help maintain smooth, flat water for the skiers. This may require idling or briefly shifting in and out of gear while moving.
