🌷 Maryland Tulip Festival at Local Homestead Products 🌷

The Maryland Tulip Festival has quickly become a beloved spring tradition at Local Homestead Products. For the past three years, we’ve celebrated the vibrant beauty of tulips and the joy they bring to our community each spring.

This year, we’ve worked harder than ever to create our most breathtaking display yet. Our team planted over 150,000 tulip bulbs, along with 50,000 daffodils surrounding our custom-built greenhouse centerpiece in the middle of the field. The result is a stunning sea of color that truly captures the beauty of springtime on the farm.

While many know Local Homestead Products for our popular fall pumpkin patch and Christmas Light Trail, the farm is also home to a year-round on-farm market and a free 5-acre kids playground, making it a destination for families throughout the year.

The Maryland Tulip Festival is our way of bringing families together through agriculture, beauty, and the simple joy of being outdoors.

Come stroll through over 5 acres of blooming Carroll County farmland, pick your own tulips, take photos, and make new spring traditions with us.

 
🌷 Special Events During Tulip Season 🌷

Throughout the tulip picking season we will be hosting several special event days to make your visit to the farm even more memorable.

Join us for Ta-Ta’s in the Tulips on April 11th from 3 PM – 7 PM, a special women’s celebration featuring women-owned businesses, live music, food trucks, drinks, and more, all set in the beauty of the tulip field. A portion of ticket sales from this event will be donated to Carroll Hospital’s Center for Breast Health, helping support an important cause while celebrating the amazing women in our community.

Our Annual Maryland Tulip Festival Celebration will take place April 18th & 19th, featuring live music, local vendors, food trucks, drink vendors, and plenty of fun for the whole family.

We will also be offering special photography evenings in the tulip field, with additional dates to be announced as the season progresses.

Special event days will feature vendors, food trucks, drink vendors, and other activities throughout the field, making them a great time to gather friends and family and experience the farm in full bloom.

 
🌷 A Note About the Tulip Season 🌷

Our tulip field is completely outdoors and part of a working farm, so the season is naturally affected by weather conditions. Tulips may bloom earlier or later depending on the temperatures we receive.

Because of this, Local Homestead Products may adjust, add, or cancel dates if necessary to ensure the best possible experience. If your selected time is canceled due to weather or bloom timing, you will be able to move your picking day to any of our remaining available dates.

We do our very best not to cancel events, and we will not cancel for light rain showers or small chances of rain. Please plan accordingly and wear appropriate footwear, as farm fields can become muddy after rain.
